On April 13, 2026, the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism hosted the seminar "International Accreditation and Rankings as Mechanisms for Increasing the Competitiveness and Attractiveness of Russian Education."

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Galina Motova, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, President of the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN), Director of the National Center for Public Accreditation, and Editor-in-Chief of the "Accreditation in Education" journal.

The seminar agenda covered key topics such as trends in the higher education evaluation system, the potential of Republic of Tatarstan universities in national and global rankings, international and public accreditation technologies, and top accreditation for leading universities. The event was attended by the vice-rectors and rectors of leading universities in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of the academic affairs departments, and licensing, accreditation, and education quality management offices.
